Future plans to work again with Writer and Filmmaker Meghna Haldar. She also shot and directed the raw Super 8mm nude film footage which was used as source material for a section of Clinker's On the Other Side... Live Cinema.

Clinker's work using Cymatics draws its initial inspiration from having attended the Sacred Harmony workshops by artist/writer/researcher Don Hill.

KARI MCQUEEN | TEKHNE

Tekhne will be a twelve month video and audio collaborative project based upon Kari McQueen's dual-role in the two week Interrarium Creative Residency (Banff Centre) as participant and media artist. McQueen's objectives are twofold: the first is to experience and observe the collective approach of an artistic intensive leading to creative breakthrough. After the residency, the second objective is the completion of six experimental shorts in collaboration with six audio artists, reflecting the collaborative processes of a creative residency. Clinker has been commisioned to create a sound and music score for one of Kari's Tekhne audio-visual shorts to be completed in 2009.


DARWIN MEYERS

The influence and mentorship of conceptual artist Darwin Meyers was pivotal in the early development of Clinker. Darwin also helped to define Clinker's initial artistic mandate and contributed all of the song titles to Clinker's first self titled release in 2003.

Since meeting in 2003 at MUTEK, Clinker's relationship with the audio-visual duo Nomig. has continued to grow well beyond artistic practice. Nomig's constant exploration into the state-of-the-art in new media (both conceptually and technically) has been a continuous influence and resource and has informed Clinker's practice for many years. Clinker loves Nomig period, end of storey...

We have been nurturing a creative "think tank" relationship and have definite plans to develop new audio-visual works in the future.

ISABELLE ROUSSEAU | AU MASS THEATRE


BRONZE AGE


Created and performed by Isabelle Rousseau, Bronze Age was the second production of Au mass theatre, the piece is about dreaming of a world beyond words.

Set in an interactive black and white paper environment, the production is designed by Marissa Kochanski; music and sound are by Gary James Joynes aka Clinker, performing live; and Julie Plourde, Filmmaker. Visual poetry, computer animation, movement and digital sound render life to a Paper World in the Dr Seuss-ish story of a girl looking for the place where words are born.

NANO URIBE

Musical Collaboration with musician Nano Uribe.

In 2005 and audio piece entitled Anagram was created with Nano Uribe which was aired on CJSR's Clock's and Clouds. Both artists contributed live vocals and electronics and the piece was mixed by Clinker. A portion of this piece was mixed live and played as part of Clinker's 2005 MUTEK Le Placard performance in Montreal.
